About Me

I am an experienced Psychotherapist and Art Psychotherapist (MA) registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).

I approach therapy through an integrated lens, meaning that I draw from a range of different frameworks because each person’s therapeutic journey is unique. My aim is to create a non-judgmental and therapeutic environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences whatever your reason for seeking therapy.

I work with a trauma-informed approach, shifting the focus away from "what is wrong with you", to thinking about "what has happened to you?" This approach recognises that many emotional and behavioural responses are understandable adaptations to difficult life experiences.

There is the option of using art during sessions as a means of expressing emotions, memories and dreams. Art can be an invaluable tool to explore experiences that might feel challenging to articulate with words alone.

I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and older adults in the NHS, with charities and independent hospitals. This work includes schools, acute mental health inpatient wards, psychiatric intensive care units, forensic low secure units, rehabilitation units and community mental health teams.
