Sophie Cachia - Psychotherapist
& Art Psychotherapist

About Me

I am an experienced Psychotherapist and Art Psychotherapist (MA) registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).

My approach

I approach therapy through an integrated lens, drawing from a range of different frameworks because each person’s therapeutic journey is unique. This diversity ensures that my approach remains dynamic and responsive to your needs. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, my aim is to create a non-judgmental and therapeutic environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

There is the option of using art during sessions as a means of expressing emotions, memories and dreams. Art can be an invaluable tool to explore experiences that might feel challenging to articulate with words alone.

I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and older adults in the NHS, with charities and independent hospitals. This work includes schools, acute mental health inpatient wards, psychiatric intensive care units, forensic low secure units, rehabilitation units and community mental health teams.

I have extensive experience working with a range of challenges, including;  anxiety, panic attacks, stress, depression, life transitions, bereavement, addiction, OCD, self-harm, trauma, low self esteem, issues related to identity and culture, retirement, ADHD, autism and those who are seeking personal growth.

I am currently offering online sessions for people in the UK and overseas.
